Arriving with peace of mind
Parking is the first thing guests ask about, often from the car. Here are the rules that actually matter, and the car parks we recommend near our apartments.
Parking in the city
Four rules are enough to avoid a fine and pay far less.
01
On-street parking is paid Monday to Saturday, 9 am to noon and 2 pm to 7 pm. It is free the rest of the time, and all day on Sundays and public holidays: an evening arrival costs nothing until the next morning.
02
Fifteen free minutes apply once per day per vehicle across every paid zone — enough to carry your bags up without rushing. You still need to take a ticket.
03
The reduced day rate is reserved for people who live or work in Reims. As a visitor, every day in the city centre is charged at the full meter rate, Monday to Saturday.
04
This is where the bill climbs, and where going back down to move the car every morning becomes tiresome. Our parking card settles it for the whole stay — details just below.
Unpaid or overstayed parking costs a €25 penalty. Rules and rates change: the City website is the authority. Rules published by the City of Reims, updated 27 July 2026.
