The chargers that matter during a stay: those inside the city-centre car parks, the one a few steps from our apartments, and the rapid-charging stations on the edge of town.
Charging during your stay
What to know before you plug in
Four pointers so you don't go looking in the wrong place.
01
The nearest rapid charging is 1.3 km away
The TotalEnergies station at the Reims Brébant service area, avenue Brébant, offers sixteen points from 150 to 300 kW, open access around the clock. It serves every brand: the best option if you do not drive a Tesla.
02
Tesla and Ionity face each other at Champfleury
5.6 km south, a twenty-six-point Tesla Supercharger at 250 kW and the Ionity station, twenty-three points up to 400 kW — the most powerful in the area. A second Tesla Supercharger sits at Tinqueux, 4.2 km west. Ionity requires a badge or its app: set it up before you set off.
03
Few chargers inside the city-centre car parks
Contrary to what is often claimed, the national registry lists a charger next to the Buirette car park only. Do not count on charging while the car sits in a car park: plan a stop at a station.
04
Parking remains a separate matter
Plugging in does not cover the parking fee. The city does grant an advantage to fully electric vehicles: the terms are on its website.
